"Harvest Ripples" is a 5x7 oil painting that captures the dynamic interplay between nature and movement. The artwork features an abstracted field of wheat, rendered in vibrant strokes that mimic the undulating motion of waves. Dots of wildflowers punctuate the scene, providing bursts of color against the dominant golden hues. Inspired by the sight of wheat fields swaying before the fall harvest, "Harvest Ripples" evokes the fluidity of water within a seemingly static landscape. The painting employs a unique technique involving gold gesso and knife strokes to scrape back the paint, revealing a shimmering underlayer that suggests the warmth and richness of wheat. Bright red accents add a vivid contrast, enhancing the visual impact and depth of the composition.
